Dear Parents of sixth graders,
I am writing to let you know that the PARCC testing for 6th grade math has been delayed by one day.
The new test dates will be Wednesday, April 9th and Thursday, 10th
due to a shipping error by the testing vendor Pearson. The testing guidelines from the DESE require that each student to use test and answer booklets with matching security
numbers. However, Pearson, the test vendor, sent booklets with security numbers that do not match the answer booklets. We have requested new materials and Pearson has agreed
to overnight corrected materials to us. We expect those materials to arrive on Tuesday, April 8th
and be ready for distribution on Wednesday, April 9th.
