RMS Grade 8 students had an excellent research day at Millbrook Park on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.  Seven NOAA scientists interacted with the kids, collecting 20 stations worth of data. We are in our 5th year collecting longitudinal data.  This is the first year with the new dam. Ms. Swanberg spent the day directing the waterfall data collection, Mr. Richards conducted Mill Pond historical tours while Ms. Merry supervised the seine nets, crab count and elver dig at the Front Beach drain pipe. The Rockport Garden Club was grateful for our community service project, removing invasive plants from the stream. The eels were out and students made us proud with their excellent behavior and effort.
