Congratulations to the 6th Grade!!!

Congratulations to the sixth grade who won our year long "Spirit Competition" that culminated yesterday with the Brain Brawl and Tug-O-War.  Thank you to all of the students and teachers for their participation in this yearlong event!

The softball teams great season came to an end on Friday night in Lowell at the hands of St. Mary's of Lynn.  Thank you to the team and Coach Parisi for a very exciting season.

On-line Registration for Athletics

We are excited to announce that we are now offering the convenience of online registration for Rockport Public Schools Athletics through partner company, FamilyID, and thus now requiring all athletes to register via FamilyID.

FamilyID is an easy-to-use, secure registration platform that makes signing up for Rockport Public Schools Athletics convenient for you, while helping us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you register through FamilyID, you enter your information once for multiple uses, multiple kids and multiple programs.

FamilyID is very easy to use.  A complete instruction sheet is being sent to all parents for the 2012 - 2013 school year.

On Thursday and Friday, the seventh grade class went to Gordon College to participate in their high/low ropes course program.  Students had a great time, and the weather was perfect.

Softball Update: TIME CHANGE

The Girls Softball game scheduled for today (Saturday) has been postponed to Sunday 6/3 and will be played at 1:00 pm at Rockport High School

The Girls Softball game scheduled for today (Saturday 6/2) has been postponed due to the weather.  The game is now scheduled for 4:00 pm at Rockport High School on Sunday 6/3.  There is no word at this time about the Boys Baseball game.

Graduation!!!

Congratulations to the Class of 2012!!! Graduation for the Class of 2012 was held in the Steven Rowell Gymnasium on Friday, June 1, 2012 and was attended by friends, family, faculty, and community members.  The graduates were given words of wisdom from Valedictorian Savannah Reed and Salutatorian Sydney Colucci.  Thank you as always to Mr. George Ramsden for all of his help with our ceremony.

Spring Athletic Awards

Congratulations to the athletes who received recognition last night at the Spring Athletic Awards.  The Alumni Awards were awarded to Stephanie Dixon (Becker College) and Erik Juncker (Salem State University), The Pat Hall "Vision of Youth" Award was awarded to the Friends of Rockport Athletics Treasurer Mike Wilson for his years of service to the children of Rockport.  The Athlete of the Year Awards were awarded to Amanda Chalmers and Conor Douglass.  Colby Foster was awarded the Ventimiglia Award.  The Michael Eaton Sportsmanship Award was presented to Kristen Sanfilippo and Tucker Meredith. 

Congratulations to both the Baseball team and the Softball team for being awarded the Cape Ann League Sportsmanship Awards

Congratulations to Varsity Softball Coach Diane Parisi for being named Cape Ann League Coach of the Year Awards. 

Congratulations to all of the athletes and their families and best wishes to the Baseball and Softball teams both of whom will play tomorrow.  Softball is at home at 4:00 against North Shore Tech and the Baseball team is at Malden Catholic at 7:00 against Mystic Valley.  Good luck to both teams.
