Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Sound of Music for the five nominations they received Friday night for the Massachusetts Educational Theater Awards. These are like the Oscars for school musicals in Massachusetts. Only six students in the state are nominated in each category, so it is quite an honor for our nominees. They are:

Best Lighting Design and Execution



The Awards will be given out on June 15 in a ceremony at the Cutler Majestic Theater in Boston!

In more science news:
9 of our RHS AP Physics students made a great showing at this year's Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, held Thursday-Friday (March 26-27) at the University of New Hampshire.  Six students gave poster presentations on their research.

Sayles K, won second place in the Southern New England poster competition.

In happy science news, 3 RHS students were awarded NASA certificates and pins in recognition of their time engaging in scientific inquiry as part of the RHS Science Club.  The students are Olivia M, Yana N, and Irina B.

Wednesday the 25th @ 7:00 the RHS Drama Llamas will preview their Drama Festival Entry - The World Ends with Us - a 40 minute play written by junior Mary Colussi with a set designed by junior Nick Endicott.



This drama follows six characters as they process they trials and tribulations they have faced in life through a group therapy model.  



The preview will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the John Lane Auditorium.  The performance is free to the public, but donations will be gratefully accepted.



The Llamas will perform - as a part of Drama Festival - at 11:15 a.m. at Hamilton - Wenham Regional High School on Saturday the 28th.

We are trying to outfit the Health room with new cookware.  Help us if you can by sending in your stamps we'd appreciate it.  Our hope is to have enough stamps to outfit the kitchen with as many new Cuisinart pans as possible!  Just send the saver stamps into the office and we'll take care of it from there and thanks as always!
